Danielle Sanislow, RD, LDN
Danielle Sanislow, RD, is the retail dietitian at the ShopRite of Fox Street in Philadelphia, PA. She educates customers and associates about how to lead a healthful life by teaching them to read nutrition labels, building nutritious meals, and making dietary choices related to their current health concerns or goals. She is also responsible for health and wellness education and outreach to community partners through a variety of programs such as supermarket tours, workshops, one-on-one consultations, and year-round culinary demos.
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in Accounting. After deciding on a career change, Danielle studied Nutrition at the University of Alabama where she is obtaining a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition. She completed her Dietetic Internship with Sodexo at Virtua Health systems in New Jersey.
Prior to joining Brown’s Super Stores and the ShopRite of Fox Street, Danielle worked with the Food Bank of South Jersey’s Healthy Living Initiative program. In that position, she educated individuals on building healthful meals using the products provided, both through presentations and cooking demonstrations. Most recently, Danielle has been working in the hospital setting as a Clinical Dietitian at the level one trauma center Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Here she aided the healthcare team in helping a variety of patients meet their individual nutrition needs.
Originally from Florida, Danielle enjoys a variety of activities in the sunshine including gardening, biking, hiking, time at the beach, and sporting events. She also teaches exercise classes at a local gym and is involved in a community garden in her neighborhood. Danielle spends a lot of her spare time in the kitchen experimenting with new ingredients from her garden and/or developing new recipes.
